Aspergillus species are found abundantly in soils and other organics. This abundance makes it easier for the fungi to be transferred to humans, animals, and plant through various mechanisms. Inhalation of the fungi spores remains the easiest way they can enter humans although recent research studies on the disease reveal cutaneous infection is possible.
